HDFC Coalition organizing meeting Tuesday Jan 17th 6:30pm 1st Ave & East 10th St. Manhattan

(But first, please sign up on our mailing list to get free updates from the HDFC Coalition by clicking here!)

Lisa Ramaci of the Lower East Side has put together an organizing meeting for HDFCs in the East Village, Lower East Side & Chinatown.  Also invited are HDFC folks from around NYC who are interested in organizing their neighborhoods.  The HDFC Coalition will be present as well. We would like to spend a bit of time explaining what HPD’s proposal is all about for those who are new to this, then update the group about the recent efforts to stop HPD’s plan, and then talk about how we can organize our fellow shareholders to put even more pressure on our elected officials. You will be able to break into groups from your own area to get to know each other better and strategize.

For those who wish to help organize, we will provide a list of addresses for practically every HDFCs in NYC.

We CAN win this and we are already making a huge impact, but we must raise the volume even higher. It’s fun and empowering to get involved! You WILL meet people just like you who will want to join with you. We hope to see you there if you are an HDFC shareholder in the area, or if you wish to discuss strategy and go back to your own neighborhood to organize.

RSVP: Not required to RSVP, but it would be helpful. If you plan to come, please send Lisa an email at l.ramaci@hotmail.com  and put “RSVP 1 person” in the subject line if you are coming by yourself, or “RSVP 2 people” if two of you are coming, etc.

Download the flyer, email to friends and post in your building: English here and Spanish here.
